What are the principles on which the Mygate app is built?

Lawfulness, fairness and transparency
Ensuring completely transparent & legally compliant information collection at all levels

Purpose limitation
Ensuring that information collection is purpose oriented, clearly defined and maintained only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose. For example, we do not collect any demographic information on the app.

Data minimisation
Ensuring that information is cautiously collected and handled, and that information deemed unnecessary for the stated purpose is not collected at all. On all our RWA dashboards, personal information is by default hidden.

Collection clarity
We not only ensure that you know about all the information we are collecting, we also ensure completely transparent and legally compliant information collection at all levels.

Storage limitation
Ensuring that personal information that is no longer necessary is deleted upon fulfilment of the purpose. For example, on our systems, all visitor entry-exit information is purged after 180 days.

What best practices does Mygate follow to secure user data?

We follow industry-standard protocols like SSL encryption, access restrictions, firewalls, and RSA key sequential authentications to ensure complete privacy of your data.

Is the Mygate app fully encrypted?

Yes. All entries and transfers are fully encrypted, both in storage and during transmission. You can also report any lapses directly to our team.

Is personal data stored on guard devices?

No. Our guard devices do not store any data. They are used only to communicate with secure servers, so security guards cannot access resident information.

Do you have a Data Protection Officer?

Yes. Mygate has a designated Data Protection Officer responsible for ensuring correct data processing in compliance with GDPR and all applicable laws. Refer to the Privacy Policy to learn the role of the Data Protection Officer.

Does Mygate share information with third parties?

No, Mygate never shares personal resident information with third parties, unless this has been expressly approved by the user.

Yes. We engage CERT-IN certified auditors to conduct regular VPAT audits and security testing, ensuring the resilience and reliability of our systems.
